It's amazing how fast time flies. The babies are now 4 months old. They are healthy and growing. It is Tuesday, September 27, 2011 and we go to the doctor's for 4 month shots. Phillip is in Pasadena for the week and will be home on the weekend so my mom is going with me. I hope the babies don't cry too much. I am excited to see how much they weigh and how much they have grown.
Kennedy and Corbin are still being breastfed through bottles. Corbin sometimes gets a formula bottle. I have introduced them both to rice cereal. Corbin likes it much better than Kennedy. Last night Corbin ate 2 Tablespoons while Kennedy just ate 1/2 a Tablespoon (this is dry and then breastmilk is added). I have only bought one can of formula (about $20). We have been using the samples first. I hope I can get a sample when I go to the doctor today. I'll have to remember to ask.
It is also pretty cool that we haven't actually bought any diapers or wipes yet. My school threw me a diaper/wipe shower when I was pregnant and that was the best thing ever. Then my friends also have bought diapers for the babies as well. I wonder how long we can go without having to buy diapers. They are in 1-2's. Kennedy could really still be size 1's but we are out. The size 1-2 comes in handy for a "big" diaper.
Today, September 27, 2011 Corbin has finally flipped over. He went to sleep on his tummy and woke up on his back.
Welcome to our Family

Babies R Us Adventure
Today I had a marvelous idea to go to Babies R Us. My mom, Rebekka, Kennedy, Corbin and myself got settled into the truck and drove to the store. There was some crying but not too much. When we got to Babies R Us we took the stroller inside. We were in there about 10 minutes and Kennedy started crying. We got her out of the stroller and Grandma held her. While she was holding Kennedy I put my items to purchase in the stroller. Then looking at the clothes for Corbin he started to cry. I had my mom get a cart so we could put the items in there and switch babies. Now we had the stroller and a cart to push around. After 30 minutes inside we checked out. Both babies were crying and Rebekka was wanting a bag and ball. I told her to put it up on the counter and I will buy it. We finally checked out and loaded crying babies into the truck. Corbin fell asleep and Kennedy cried off and on all the way home (poor baby). We finally made it home and fed the babies. Phillip came home from work and Rebekka, myself and my mom had naps after the babies were dry and fed. What a day. From now on its only quick trips or to church and back. Momma learned her lesson for awhile.

My how the babies are growing up. They turned 2 months on July 24, 2011. They are both smiling and cooing. The cooing began on July 18th. You can set the baby in your lap and talk to them and they will coo alittle bit for a short period. Corbin coos louder than Kennedy. So sweet!
The past week I think Corbin has supassed his sister in weight. We weighed him on the old baby scale and it says that Corbin weighs 9 pounds and Kennedy weighs 8. Corbin has really started to get real solid. I nicknamed him tank.
Kennedy has been back on breastmilk now for about 2 weeks solid. That makes me really happy. She cries in the morning and evening for no reason. We give her gripe medicine which helps those bubbles come out one end or the other.
On Sunday July 24th was the first time we took our whole family of 5 to church. This was the babies first time in the nursery. This was their first time in public as well. Our goal was to leave the house at 9 am and we ended up leaving at 9:15, which is still really good. We had to link Rebekka to her brother and sister and register the babies, which was really quick. Phillip and I took the babies to the nursery and then took Rebekka to her class. Then we went to church. After we sang worship songs, I had to go and check on Kennedy and Corbin. The ladies had to give Kennedy alittle gripe medicine (thank goodness I brought it) and Corbin was eating and just went to sleep. Overall we had a wonderful time at church! I am proud of all 3 of my babies.

6 weeks
Wow! Alot has happen this week. The babies are holding their heads up really well now. On July 3rd Kennedy smiled at her mommy for the first time and on July 10th Corbin did this. Kennedy is having spit bubbles which only a mommy thinks is so adorable.
Kennedy is taking a couple of breast milk bottles and Corbin is only on breast milk bottles. Kennedy is pretty gasey so I figure to experiment and just give her Newborn Enfamil Formula to see if that helps which it does.
Both of them are having about 1 dirty diaper a day. When they go all day without one then I start eating dried prunes and that helps them go in the next diaper or two.
On Friday July 8th my mom and I took Rebekka and the babies to Northshore Park in The Woodlands. This was our first outing besides going to the doctor when they were a week old. Kennedy and Corbin slept for the most part while Rebekka chased the ducks and played on the playground. Then they woke up and we fed them and then went back home. We were gone for a total of 2 hours.
