Triage - monitoring babies and getting ready
Triage - monitoring babies and getting ready
On May 11th we did a "dry run" to the hospital. Babies were pushing and my stomach was tightening about every 20 minutes. I went to Triage for 4 hours and then dismissed to go home. The contractions slowed and went away. I figured I better go on maternity leave until the babies were here.
On May 23rd at 11pm I was sleeping in my bed when my water broke. I rolled on my side and gush after gush after gush came. It felt like the flood gates were open. I told Phillip, "Phillip my water broke." He shot out of bed asking, "What do we do, what do we do?" I told him I need a towel...well, he decided he needed to get dressed first. Finally he got me a towel. He didn't know what to do so I told him to get me my clothes off the couch(we just did laundry so everything was folded on the couch). I then put mascara on and double checked the house to be sure we had everything. Then off to the hospital! I began texting family and friends that we are going to have babies very soon!
Once we got to the hospital I went to Triage for them to check out everything. I had a monitor for each baby and one for me. Then they hooked up the IV. I told them to call Dr. Strong. He was there very soon. I had tightening and every once in a while I would have to focus and breathe. Phillip got on his scrubs and we were ready for delivery!
